Grandfather Mountain : Grandfather Mountain is a privately owned nature preserve. We enjoy the Nature Center consisiting of: Otters, Black Bear, Deer, and the Cougars. At the Summit, we like the Swinging Bridge, but even more, we start our hiking trails at the Swinging Bridge parking lot, which is already at a 1-mile high elevation. We hold an annual pass and get our money's worth out of it, several times over.
